Western Cape Education Department Heritage Competition
September started off with AKE providing services for The Western Cape Education Department for the Schools Heritage Competition. The event took place on 10 Sep at the Gold Fields Environmental Education Centre at Kirstenbosch. It was so inspiring to see how these students had to do presentations in front of a panel of adjudicators and an audience.

This was a great initiative to get the schools involved with having the Currie Cup on their premises. The activations was done at Tafelsig & Steenberg High Schools on 14 & 26 Sep respectively.
Road Accident Fund Roadshow in Delft
On 17 September we provided delicious meals and other services for the Stakeholder Engagement. It was a successful day.
Mowbray Maternity Hospital
On 23 September Mowbray Maternity Hospital had their centenary fundraiser at the President Hotel in Bantry Bay. It turned out to be a lovely evening which everyone enjoyed and of course they managed to raise much needed funds. We were responsible for making the room look magical.
Emerging Business Support Programme
From 26-29 September the Department of Economic Development awarded us a contract to provide catering services for 14 of their events which will roll out across the Cape Metropole into October. This is an exciting programme with Absa Bank as a partner which assists small businesses and also those who are thinking of starting a business to go through a 2 day course to learn just how to do that. The first 2 day events was held at the Sub Council Chambers at 44 Wale Street in Town and the Clotex offices in Athlone.
We look forward to next three months which promises to be a busy time ahead
